We are pleased to offer flexible leasing periods. At the time tenants sign their lease, they are free to choose the number of months for their lease – with a 6-month minimum. As long as a tenant remains a tenant in good standing, the lease automatically renews month to month every 30 days. Please see our apartment pages for details.

We are located only 6 minutes from the central Houghton/Hancock lift bridge, on Hancock’s Quincy Hill,  on a quiet country road, in the peaceful village of Paavola. Occupancy includes access to 120 acres of wild life reserve, spa, swim in place pool, and enclosed garage parking.

There is absolutely no smoking of any kind of tobacco or any substance including medical marijuana anywhere on the premises including your own apartment. High Gate reserves the right to comply with Michigan State landlord rights law SB 783 and there is absolutely no marijuana cultivation of any kind including seed germinating permitted anywhere on the High Gate premises, including inside the apartments.
